Paul T. Lavoie is an attorney in the Firm's Intellectual Property practice group concentrating his practice in the areas of patent and trademark law including preparation and prosecution of U.S. and PCT Patent applications in the chemical and life sciences area; conducting infringement, validity and product clearance studies; licensing technology; consultation regarding trade secret protection. Mr. Lavoie has experience in all aspects of U.S. and foreign patent procurement, patent related client consultation analysis with an emphasis in pharmaceuticals, vitamins, ophthalmic solutions, petroleum and chemical manufacturing processes and viscoelastic materials.

Experience:

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Lavoie served as Patent Counsel to Bausch & Lomb Incorporated. He began his legal career in 1997 at the Law Offices of Fulwider, Patton, Lee & Utecht in Los Angeles, CA concentrating his practice in Patent and Trademark law. Mr. Lavoie has also served as Intellectual Property Counsel and Manager to BioChem Pharma in Quebec, Canada and as Law Technology Counsel to the Exxon Mobil Corporation in Houston, Texas.
