Thomas E. Brydges is a partner in the Firm's Labor and Employment practice group. He has been with the firm since 1973 and a partner since 1978. He has practiced extensively before the National Labor Relations Board with respect to both representation proceedings and unfair labor practice proceedings. His experience also includes frequent appearances before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights and the State and Federal courts in defense of clients charged with employment discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the New York Human Rights Law. He also has assisted several clients who are government contractors or sub-contractors in drafting, implementing and administering Affirmative Action Plans. His experience also includes advising clients on the requirements of the New York and Federal Prevailing Rate Laws and requirements. He has litigated prevailing rate claims before the New York and United States Departments of Labor and in the Federal courts. Mr. Brydges is a frequent lecturer on the subjects of labor law and Higher Education Law and has been a contributor to the American Bar Association's Report on Employment Discrimination Law. Mr. Brydges also advises a number of colleges on issues relating to Higher Education Law.
