Brenda J. Joyce is a partner in the Firm's Environmental practice group. Ms. Joyce focuses in the areas of compliance counseling, enforcement proceedings and transactions work, including environmental due diligence and State Environmental Quality Review Act matters. She also concentrates in Superfund litigation, and in the area of solid and hazardous waste regulation. Ms. Joyce has assisted owners of contaminated properties in negotiating with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to agree on the remediation to be undertaken, and in recovering cleanup costs from responsible parties. Ms. Joyce has also represented a major commercial hazardous waste disposal facility operator in permit application proceedings. She has substantial experience in counseling industrial facility operators in connection with day-to-day hazardous waste management issues, permitting strategies, and enforcement matters.
