Jaeckle Hosts Tom Murphy, Former Mayor of Pittsburgh

Mr. Murphy currently serves as a senior resident fellow for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) specializing in public policy, retail/urban entertainment, transportation/infrastructure, housing, real estate finance and environmental issues. Since 2006 he has served as ULI's gulf coast liaison helping the leadership and public of New Orleans to advance rebuilding recommendations made by ULI. Prior to serving as a ULI fellow, Mr. Murphy served three terms as the mayor of Pittsburgh.

New York Government Reorganization and Citizen Empowerment Act:
What Municipal Leaders Need to Know
Wednesday, May 12th, Wednesday, May 19th and Tuesday, May 25th, 2010
The New York Government Reorganization and Citizen Empowerment Act became effective on March 21, 2010.   The Act creates new Article 17-A of the General Municipal Law governing the consolidation and dissolution of most (but not all) forms of local government.  The  new law has raised at least as many questions as it has provided answers.

Executive leaders of local companies are invited to attend a forum scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 12th from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, 1300 Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo. The forum entitled "Innovative Leadership-Strategies for Creating, Sustaining or Restarting Growth," is being presented through the collaborative efforts of CoreIP Systems, Lumsden & McCormick, LLP and Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel, LLP.

Zoning Board Members under Chapter 662, Laws of 2006.   The training sessions are being presented by Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel, LLP and The State University of New York at Buffalo, The Urban Design Project.
