Jean C. Powers to Receive 2009 Volunteer Recognition Award

BUFFALO, NEW YORK ? Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel, LLP, a full service corporate law firm announces that Jean C. Powers will receive the 2009 Volunteer Recognition Award from the  University at Buffalo Alumni Association. Ms. Powers will receive the award on Friday, March 20th at the University at Buffalo & UB Alumni Association's  Achievement Awards dinner taking place at the Adam's Mark Hotel.

Ms. Powers is a partner in the Firm's Real Estate and Economic & Land Development practice groups. She is a graduate of the UB Law School, and has served as a loyal and committed volunteer to both the Law School and University for 30 years. She has served on the Dean's Council for the last eight years and held leadership roles including Director, President-Elect and President of the UB Law Alumni Association.

Ms. Powers is a past-recipient of the UB Law Alumni Association Distinguished Alumna Award for Community Service and was chosen in 2007 to serve on a selected committee to formulate a strategic plan for the UB Law Alumni Association. In addition, Ms. Powers played an important volunteer role to the University by serving as Trustee of the University at Buffalo Foundation since 2003.
