Jaeckle Fleischmann Recognizes Attorney Honorees of "Legal Elite of WNY"

Mitchell J. Banas, Jr., has extensive experience in complex commercial and tort litigation of all varieties (including breach of contract, construction, environmental, energy, antitrust, insurance, class action, civil rights and intellectual property litigation), representing both plaintiffs and defendants (including municipal entities).  Mr. Banas is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee.

Kristen Birmingham concentrates her practice in the representation of public and private companies in connection with securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities regulation and general corporate matters.

Charles D. Grieco is a Partner in the Firm's Environmental practice group and is also a member of the Firm’s Economic & Land Development and Hospitality industry teams. Mr. Grieco concentrates his practice in environmental litigation, environmental compliance, land use planning/environmental review and municipal law.  His experience in the environmental and land use areas includes environmental cost recovery litigation in both federal and state courts, as well as counseling and representing clients with respect to zoning and environmental review procedures under the State Environmental Quality Review Act and National Environmental Policy Act.

Joseph P. Kubarek serves as the Chairman and Managing Partner of Jaeckle Fleischmann’s Executive Committee. He concentrates his practice in mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate finance and corporate governance, and has substantial experience in providing advice and guidance to corporate boards and board committees on corporate governance matters, including board and committee structure, duties and best practices, disclosure practices and compliance with legal requirements.

Robert W. Patterson is a partner in Jaeckle Fleischmann’s Employee Benefits and Health Care practice groups. He concentrates his practice on employee compensation and benefits matters, including pension, 401(k) and other qualified retirement plans, ESOPs, health, cafeteria (§125) and other welfare plans, deferred compensation plans, executive compensation, and advising businesses with regard to benefit plan issues relating to mergers and acquisitions. He also advises physicians and physician groups and other health care providers with respect to corporate compliance, Federal and state anti-fraud, kickback and self-referral laws, HIPAA matters and other health care laws and regulations.

Raymond Reichert has devoted substantially his entire career to the practice of tax law, including federal and New York income tax, New York sales and use tax, and other miscellaneous taxes.  In addition to general transactional tax planning, his practice includes structuring real estate joint ventures, low income housing and historic tax credit partnerships, and economic development planning. 

A member of the Firm’s Executive Committee and Litigation practice group, Mr. Swanekamp has extensive experience in the areas of business law and commercial litigation. He has regularly counseled and litigated the interests of clients in the areas of trade regulation, general contract and commercial disputes, securities, anti-trust, intellectual property, environmental, and accountant professional responsibility matters.

A member of the Firm’s Executive Committee and Tax practice group, Nicole R. Tzetzo has extensive experience in tax and business matters including corporation and partnership formation, mergers & acquisitions, debt and equity financing, as well as contract matters, including preparation and negotiation of transactional documents. Ms. Tzetzo’s tax practice also extends to the not-for-profit sector where she provides counsel in connection with entity formation, board governance, regulatory compliance and establishment of foundations.
