Gayle Eagan Named Lawyer of the Year by Bar Association of Erie County

                        BUFFALO, NEW YORK — Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel, LLP, a full service corporate law firm is pleased to announce that Partner Gayle Eagan has been named 2011 Lawyer of the Year by the Bar Association of Erie County. The award recognizes outstanding contributions to the legal profession and Western New York community and will be presented at the Association's Annual Dinner on June 8th at the Hyatt.


            Ms. Eagan is a partner in the Firm's Estate and Trusts practice group, concentrating her practice on estate planning, trusts and estate administration and litigation, surrogate's court practice, elder law (including guardianship proceedings) and adoptions. She has served countless community efforts throughout her career. This award particularly notes her leadership and involvement with Legal Services for the Elderly, Disabled or Disadvantaged of WNY and her recent efforts as co-founder of Canopy of Neighbors, Inc., an organization that assists persons of advanced age to remain in their homes. Ms. Eagan also currently serves as secretary for the Community Foundation of Greater Buffalo, Inc.


            In addition to her leadership roles in the above organizations, Ms. Eagan is a past president of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York, the WNY Chapter of the Women's Bar Association and the Estates Analysts of Western New York. Her professional affiliations include serving as a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and as a member of the New York State Bar Association's Trust & Estates and Elder Law Committees.
