Labor Alert: Employers -- Be Prepared for the New York State WARN Act
Sep-08-2008 — A new law will require New York State employers to provide advance written notice to employees and other entities in the event of mass layoffs, plant closings, and relocations. The New York State Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act ("WARN") is scheduled to take effect on February 1, 2009.
