Remedies (Against Employers)

o Now:  Relief for unfair labor practices is remedial, not punitive, e.g., cease and desist orders.

o EFCA:  The NLRB could award treble back pay damages and civil penalties up to $20,000 for unfair labor practices committed by employers during organizing drives and first contract negotiations. The EFCA also mandates that the NLRB give priority to the investigation of certain categories of alleged unfair labor practices occurring under such conditions.
